This 6 week course (run 3-4 times a year) is designed for complete beginners or anyone looking to refresh the basics. The course takes your gently through the basic steps and rhythms in tap and you’ll get additional video guides and notes. No previous experience needed. A really fun introduction to the world of tap. This tap dance class begins with a warm-up and is followed by a few skill sequences to warm up the feet and the brain! You will then build on a piece of choreography, learning a new section to the routine to a show-stopping tune, over a few weeks.

The class involves using complex rhythms and unusual combinations to complicate the technical exercises, learning new combos and time steps as they are created, and always working towards a showpiece routine! Good tap knowledge and tap vocab are essential.
