After a brilliant response to our line dancing sessions over the summer, we’re bringing them back to First Dance Studios with a brand-new monthly workshop.
And this time, we’re making them longer!
Our summer sessions were one hour long, but the new workshops will give you 90 minutes of dancing, music and fun, giving you more time to learn, practise and enjoy the routines.
You don’t need to be a dancer to enjoy line dancing.
Our workshops with Rebecca are designed to be fun and accessible, with easy-to-learn routines that you can pick up step by step. There’s no partner required either, so you can come along on your own or bring a friend.
And you certainly don’t need to own a pair of cowboy boots! 🤠
Line dancing isn’t just about country music and cowboy hats.
Becca will be bringing a mix of country classics and modern hits, so there’ll be plenty of familiar music to get your feet moving.
And if you know the words, feel free to sing along too!
The beauty of line dancing is that everyone is learning the same routine together. You can concentrate on your own steps while still being part of the group, and there’s something very satisfying about getting to the end of a routine and realising you’ve actually got it!
Of course, line dancing is a great way to get moving and get those steps in, but there are plenty of other benefits too.
Learning and remembering the sequences helps with coordination and memory, while dancing to music is a brilliant way to stay active without it feeling like a workout.
And because you’re learning alongside other people, there’s plenty of opportunity to chat, laugh and have fun along the way.
Our new line dancing workshops will take place on the last Saturday of every month, giving you a regular Saturday afternoon dance fix.
Our first workshop is:
📅 Saturday 26 September
⏰ 3.30pm–5pm
📍 Woking Dance Space
So, if you’ve always fancied trying line dancing, enjoyed our summer sessions or simply fancy doing something a little different on a Saturday afternoon, come and join us!
No experience needed. No partner needed. Just bring yourself and be ready to dance. 👢🤠
